I think you need to be a little more open minded and realize these teams aren’t bottomless pits financially. Danica didn’t drive a car that was newer, better, and had more detail put into than Harvick. You think they put the raced parts on Jimmie’s car? No, they make those parts available to their teams that’re less known.

meanwhile another driver will be driving with parts that’re multiple races old. How can you honestly say that these 4 car teams feature identical cars consistently? Someone has to drive the brand new chassis/springs/suspension/engine/etc. Hell, they even stole Kasey’s best pit crew members and swapped them out for Jimmie’s members that weren’t putting up equal numbers.
Hendrick ran setups on the 5 team(Kahne) to try them out for the other cars that were the team’s priority cars/drivers (Jimmie/Chase). Teams and sponsors gotta get their heads out their ass too.īut they do run setups to try stuff out? They’ve admitted to doing so in multiple examples. Sorry to blow up your inbox with this rant when you largely agreed with me lol, but It had to be said that its not just the fans perceptions on this. Its a culture problem in NASCAR where the kids always win. Do you know how many 25-32 year old short trackers/dirt guys out there could come in and kill? They had a slim chance before, and now its virtually zero. The fans see that and feed off of it-"well clearly that guy was trash city, hasnt got another ride since he washed out of insert team here at the advanced age of 21." It's problematic because it shrinks your talent pool considerably. And on the cycle goes, because by the time these kids have a chance to actually develop in to something great, they're "too old." Teams gotta sign these guys, sponsors gotta want these guys. If he isnt killing it by 22, hes out for the next 18 year old hot shot.
Its not even just fans, its the teams and sponsors as well.
